DPDP Compliance

Charitable Trust Support India is committed to respecting your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). This page explains how we comply with India’s data protection law and how you can exercise your rights.

Scope and Applicability

The DPDP Act applies to the processing of digital personal data within India. While our website does not require registration or collect personal data through forms, we may process limited personal data automatically, such as IP addresses, browser information, and usage patterns via analytics tools. This data is processed solely for improving user experience and site functionality.

Your Rights Under the DPDP Act

Under the DPDP Act, you have the following rights:

  • Right to access your digital personal data processed by us
  • Right to correction or completion of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Right to withdrawal of consent (where applicable)
  • Right to grievance redressal if you believe your rights have been violated

Note: Since we do not store personal data in identifiable databases or collect it through registration, most rights apply only to data collected via automated means.

How We Comply

We comply with the DPDP Act by:

  • Minimizing data collection to what is strictly necessary
  • Using anonymized or aggregated data wherever possible
  • Ensuring third-party analytics providers adhere to DPDP requirements
  • Not retaining data longer than required for operational purposes

Data We Process

Under the DPDP Act, we may process the following types of digital personal data:

  • IP addresses
  • Device type and browser information
  • Pages visited and time spent on site
  • Location data (general, country-level only)

This data is collected solely through automated tools like Google Analytics and is not linked to identifiable individuals unless voluntarily provided via contact forms.

Legal Basis for Processing

Our processing of digital personal data is based on legitimate interest under Section 4(2)(e) of the DPDP Act — specifically, to ensure the proper functioning of our website, improve user experience, and analyze traffic for public benefit.
